Vickie Alekson (Chair) and her family moved to Stowe full time from Boston in June,
2009. The family has been a homeowner in Stowe since 2002 and moved here to
become part of a vibrant community. In Boston, Vickie worked on the trading
desk of an investment management firm in various capacities for 15 years.
Vickie and her husband, Mike have two young sons ages 7 and 5 and are
looking forward to being part of the Stowe schools for many years to come.
Vickie has been involved at Stowe Elementary this year as a class parent and
in the literacy program. "I look forward to helping even more through SEF and its mission to support
and enrich education in Stowe Schools."
Matt A. Anderson moved to Stowe in January 1996 with his wife Leslie, and son Austin. Matt is currently the Sales Manager,
North America for Par Springer-Miller Systems, Inc. and is responsible for overseeing the entire Domestic Market which includes the
Caribbean. Matt has spent over 30 years in Sales Management capacities at various companies, including market development both domestically and internationally. He is actively involved with a number of professional and non-profit organizations both on a national basis and within the local community, including the Mason Organization, The Exchange Club (past-President) and the Stowe Theatre Guild (Board Member and Chairman of Finance). Matt's interest in SEF goes back to its inception, and is personal for reasons of his early involvement in a number of the legal suites resulting from Act 60. "It's essential through these challenging times that we maintain the same core beliefs and values established well before Act60/68 took place for our children and our community."

Kate Carpenter and her family moved to Stowe from Telluride where she managed Telluride Trappings and Toggery from 1992 - 1998. After that she managed Telluride Outside from '98 - '01. She then became the owner and operator of Kate's Caretaking, a home caretaking business, from 2001 - 2006. Kate lives in Stowe with husband, Brian, and children who attend Stowe schools, and is now owner of Stowe, Kitchen, Bath and Linens.
Lori Christie
John DeRienzo moved to Stowe from New Jersey in 1993. In NJ John was manager of a milk & icecream plant and store. He and Chris moved to Stowe because of the great community spirit and the educational system. John worked as the General Manager at the Round Hearth at Stowe (a ski dorm that holds up to 150 High School Students) for 7 years and now works as a Graphic Artist for Websticker.com / Freely Creative, Inc. John is a Vol. Fire Fighter in Stowe and is currently Vice Pres. of the Stowe Theatre Guild. John and Chris have 3 girls, all are tied to the Stowe Schools.

Denise Gutstein, moved to Stowe from Rochester, New York in 1999 with her husband Adam and their two children. Denise is the former president of Frontier Telephone and has a BSEE from Union College and an MBA in finance & marketing from the University of Rochester's Simon School. She served as President of the Stowe Cooperative Nursery School from 2001 - 2004. "I am involved with the SEF as there is nothing more important than education when it comes to the s ta bi lity and prosperity of mankind. "

Diane Lepikko moved to Stowe with her husband Jeff in 1999. Diane received her B.S. from Northeastern University and her M.S. from Oregon State University. She has been working as a Therapist in Vermont for 11 years and has been a Substance Abuse Prevention Counselor and Health Teacher at Lamoille Union Middle School for the last 5 years. Diane has two young boys who are just starting their education in Stowe. Diane became involved with SEF to be part of a system that is doing the best it can to keep the standard of education in Stowe to a higher level.
Etienne Morris was born and raised in Stowe and is a graduate of the Stowe Schools. She has over 25 years management experience in consulting, travel, hospitality software, and hotel management; she currently works as a recruiting coordinator for Gamen Group in Stowe. Etienne and her husband, Paul, have two children, one in elementary school and one in middle school. She has been an active member of her children's schools, holding board positions at the Stowe Cooperative Nursery School, serving as a volunteer for the PTO's Save for Success and Learning to Look programs and as a classroom parent at the Stowe Elementary School. "I've always felt that the SEF was deeply committed to the children of Stowe and I am happy to have the opportunity to actively contribute to SEF's mission ."
Meghan Reichelt grew up in Stowe and attended the Stowe school system from kindergarten through 12th grade. After graduation she went on to live and attend school in San Francisco and Washington, DC. After marrying a fellow Stoweite, Kurt Reichelt, they returned back to Vermont to raise a family. She and Kurt have two boys in the Stowe Elementary School and she volunteers there in the "Learning to Look" program, the Birthday Book Club and many fundraisers with the Stowe Education Fund. She also works as a freelance event planner and marketing consultant. She and Kurt feel Stowe is a truly unique place to grow up and love the welcoming community feel of the school system.

EMERITUS
Donna Carpenter, Emeritus, has lived in Vermont for the last 20 years and in Stowe for the last 11 years. She is the owner of Harvest M arket, a specialty food store in Stowe as well as being active in her husband Jake's business, Burton Snowboards. She has a B.A. from Williams College and has spent considerable time traveling, including a recently completed year long trip around the world with her family. Donna has been involved with SEF since the beginning and was instrumental in reforming school funding legislation on the state level. Her motivation for helping establish the Stowe Education Fund: "One of the main reasons I live in Stowe is the strong sense of community and Stowe's public schools are the heart and soul of th at community."

Terry Dwyer, Emeritus, has lived in Stowe for the past 13 years. A corporate bond analyst and senior vice president at KDP Investment Advisors, in Montpelier, Terry has considerable knowledge a nd expe rience in the area of investments/portfolio management. His education includes an undergraduate degree from Boston College and two graduate degrees from Indiana University. In addition to being a founding member of the Stowe Education Fund, Terry has served on the Stowe School Board for 8 years.

Sara Slaymaker Yoskin, Emeritus, her husband Peter and their daughter Jessie moved to Stowe in 1998. After exploring diverse careers ranging from equitation instructor in Bermuda to floor broker on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, s he now owns and operates Stowe Video with her family. Sara's personal involvement with the Stowe school system ended when Jessie graduated in 2004, but she believes strongly in the mission of SEF and will continue to support the Fund.

Alan Thorndike, Emeritus, has lived in Stowe for close to 30 years. With his wife Ellen, they have had the pleasure of raisin g two sons who went through the Stowe school system from kindergarten through High School graduation. When Act 60 became law, Alan jumped at the opportunity to serve on the SEF Board to protect Stowe's long standing commitment to educational ex cellence. A graduate of Dartmout h College and the University of Maine School of Law, Alan's day job is practic ing law from his office on Main Street in Stowe.
