2009 – 2010 WISH LIST

STOWE ELEMENATRY SCHOOL: ($17,500)

· Summer Math Lab (will provide learning opportunities for growth and support in problem-solving, concept development, and computation skills)

· Summer Writing Seminars (will provide learning opportunities for students to develop and refine skills in six genres: narrative, response to literature and non-fiction, report, persuasive, procedure and personal essay)

· Smart Board Technology Exploration (an electronic white board connected to a PC, a projector & internet allowing electronic interconnection of resources in real time and electronic documentation of the lesson)

STOWE MIDDLE SCHOOL: ($28,450)

* Summer Math Lab (will provide learning opportunities for growth and support in problem-solving, concept development, and computation skills)

* SAT Prep Course (an SAT or ACT preparation class offered to juniors and seniors, partially subsidized by SEF to make it affordable to all interested students) $3,000

The SEF is committed to establishing fund-raising goals that fill the gaps mutually identified by the schools and parents each year. The above wish list has been developed by the school administrators, teachers and parents for 2009 – 2010.
